The Putney Craft Tour is teaming up again with the Putney Foodshelf. Participating studios offer a craft item with the proceeds, if sold, go to the Foodshelf. How generous is that? They brainstormed this idea back in 2014, so this year marks the 4th year of this partnership. We help with advertising, and they do the rest of the work!
Tour the studios this coming Thanksgiving weekend: Friday, November 24 through Sunday November 25th, 10–5 p.m. Who knows, maybe the piece you purchase will support the Foodshelf! www.putneycrafts.com
The Foodshelf distributes over 57,000 pounds a year. That’s over 1,000 pounds a week. That’s a lot of pounds to move in and out of our space at the Putney Community Center. We offer milk, eggs, and cheese on a regular basis. We always have produce (even in winter!) as well as meat and non-perishable staples. We pride ourselves on keeping our mission strong — providing supplemental healthy food for area people in need.
