Thanksgiving Harvest Bags: Shoppers must sign up during Open Hours the first 3 weeks of November.

WHO WE SERVE: Community members from all surrounding towns, with the most shoppers coming from Putney, Dummerston, Westminster, and Brattleboro.
Upwards of 185 households shop during Open Hours each week, with over 9,000 visits to the Foodshelf in 2025. That’s a 300% increase over the past five years — service has quadrupled.
In 2025 more than 240,000 pounds of food were distributed, which is about two tons of food each week.
The Food4Kids program at Putney Central School serves around 165 students & staff weekly. Uniquely designed to reduce stigma to food access, everyone is encouraged to take part.
